Revit 2024.1 introduces several advancements in design and documentation, interoperability and data transfer, as well as insights and analysis, building upon the features introduced in recent releases.
The initial release of Revit 2024 included significant upgrades for site modeling, structural rebar detailing, and structural analysis tools, which continue to progress in this update. Additionally, there are improvements to the project browser that enhance readability and navigation, along with performance enhancements that benefit all Revit users.
Here are three key highlights of this update:
As part of the Site Tools revamp in Revit 2024, toposurfaces have been replaced by toposolids, which offer more flexibility in representing site topography as solid geometry. In Revit 2024.1, it is now possible to optimize the number of points within a toposolid, making them easier to manipulate and work with. This feature proves especially valuable when importing intricate or complex geodata into Revit.
Revit 2024 introduced features to enhance the user experience, such as the Dark Theme. Another useful but less publicized addition was the ability to search within the project browser. Revit 2024.1 builds upon this functionality by introducing keyboard scrolling for line-by-line browsing and mouse wheel zooming, making browsing a more comfortable experience for users.
Revit 2024 simplified the workflow for adding rebar details to drawing sets, generating bar bending schedules for fabrication, and aligning bars along curved elements. In Revit 2024.1, the tools for editing rebar segment lengths have become more intuitive through enhancements to the in-canvas commands. Additionally, new automation features have been introduced, such as automatic tag placement for multi-rebar annotations, which saves time and reduces tedious tasks during the development of document sets.
