Revit 2024: A Game-Changing Release with Exciting New Features!

The 2024 version of Autodesk Revit incorporates long-awaited features such as Site Tools for landscape designers, alongside improvements to the user interface and Dark Theme.

These are the key features in the new Revit 2024:

Site Tools

Site Tools, present in both Revit and Revit LT, supports the design and documentation of richly detailed landscapes. You can use Site Tools to:

  • Collect and rationalize existing conditions data from CAD Imports, CSV point files, and more.
  • Model your design intent freely and easily, with versatile site and massing tools for modeling topography.
  • Populate schedules, sheets, and views and calculate material quantities. Cut, fill, join, and run phasing scenarios. Use the design-to-documentation engine of Revit to save time and improve design quality when modeling landscape and site conditions.

New functionalities are now available for structural engineers and rebar detailers to facilitate the creation, scheduling, and documentation of rebar.

Link Coordination Model

The integration of Autodesk Docs and Revit through Coordination Model linking streamlines the synchronization and coordination of design deliverables for project teams, while keeping project files light and team members aligned. With the ability to link models and views from over 60 supported formats in Docs and the Autodesk Construction Cloud, users can underlay the coordination model as a visual reference while designing in Revit. This eliminates the need for interpretation and reduces errors when coordinating up-to-date design deliverables with project teams and partners.

Twinmotion for Revit Auto-Sync
With the latest release of Revit, Epic Games and Autodesk simplified the handoff from Revit to Twinmotion, with new Auto-Sync functionality and a built-in Datasmith Exporter.

    Insight Tech Preview

With this free plug-in for Revit, architects and engineers can quantify and evaluate carbon impacts, with tools for optimizing their projects for greater carbon neutrality.

    Autodesk Bridge
Autodesk Construction Cloud recently released a tool called Autodesk Bridge to allow controlled or automated sharing of files between projects. Revit 2024 will now be able to link Revit Cloud Models shared across these bridged products and accounts. This functionality is available now for all BIM Collaborate Pro customers on Autodesk Construction Cloud.
