V-Ray 5 Upgrade Policy

Here's some information on the V-Ray upgrade policy to guide you and help you capitalize on V-Ray 5 for SketchUp's new release, set to come out very soon. Make sure you take the following into consideration:

All purchases of new perpetual licenses for V-Ray Next for SketchUp made after September 1, 2020, will be upgraded for free to V-Ray 5 upon the official release ( customers upgrading from V-Ray 3 to V-Ray Next during this period are not eligible for this free upgrade).

V-Ray Next for SketchUp customers can upgrade their perpetual licenses to V-Ray 5 upon the official release.

If you have an annual, monthly, or Education licenses active at the time of the official release you will receive access to V-Ray 5 for SketchUp as part of their term license benefits.

Important: With the official release of V-Ray 5 for SketchUp, perpetual licenses for V-Ray 3 For Sketchup will no longer be eligible for an upgrade to a newer version. If you own a V-Ray 3 license you have two options: 

• You can upgrade your perpetual licenses to V-Ray Next (prior to November 15) and reserve their right to upgrade to V-Ray 5 after it is released.
• You can purchase an annual license. This way you will get every update automatically and at no extra charge.

Now is the best time  to migrate to a term license and benefit from V-Ray 5’s great new functionality.
