Activity Insights
AutoCAD's Activity Insights feature is an essential tool for anyone working with drawing files. Not only does it track events within AutoCAD, but it can also track some events outside of the software, such as a drawing rename or copy in Windows Explorer. This comprehensive tracking system ensures that you have complete visibility into your drawing processes. When you open a drawing, Activity Insights reads past events performed in the drawing from its database and displays them chronologically in the Activity Insights palette. This allows you to see a history of changes made to the drawing and by whom.

Smart Blocks
The new smart block functionality can offer placement suggestions based on where you've placed that block before in the drawing. As you insert a block, the engine gives placement suggestions close to a similar geometry where you've placed that block before.
When selecting block references to replace, smart blocks suggests similar blocks for you to select from. The scale, rotation, and attribute values are maintained from the original block.
Apple Silicon Native Support
AutoCAD for Mac 2024 runs natively on both Intel and Apple Silicon architectures. The performance is improved significantly when running natively on Apple Silicon machines.

Markup Import and Markup Assist
AutoCAD 2024 uses machine learning to detect and execute certain instructions in markup text including "MOVE," "COPY," or "DELETE" commands.
Markups can be imported as a PDF, PNG, or JPG and are overlaid on top of your drawing in the Trace workspace. Markups in the imported file are automatically identified as mtext, mleaders, and revision clouds.
Markup Assist lets you insert those identified markups into the drawing as geometry. Markup Assist automatically identifies markups as text, leaders, and revision clouds. Click an identified markup, then insert it as an mtext, mleader, or revcloud object. You can edit the text before inserting it, or choose to copy the text to the clipboard.
