Matthew Peek, AIA, studied architecture at Berkeley, Columbia, and Yale, with a Fulbright at the University of Venice. A balance of built projects and visionary proposals forms the basis for his practice, Studio Peek Ancona. His work ranges from interiors built with the exclusive use of sustainable materials to high performance buildings combining innovative structure and energy-efficient facade systems. His projects include LEED homes, hazard-resistant buildings, housing, commercial, and civic buildings. Peek teaches architectural design and technology in the U.S. and abroad, including leading university contributions for international relief efforts. His work is recognized internationally, through publications and honors including an AIA California Design Award.
