This year's Architecture and the City Festival will make you crawl, swing, bike, explore, leap and get covered in sand. Mark your calendars for a month of programs highlighting the value and necessity of PLAY in the Design Arts and how it can be applied to other disciplines! For the entire month of September San Francisco will be your inspiration playground. Engage with the local Design and Architecture community and experience Design in a myriad of ways throughout the city. Here some of the actions we recommend:
Mingle at the Opening Night Party; where yo can also drink, nibble, and network for an inspiring night of PLAY!
Ride a bike around the citywith the Bay Area Young Architects (BAYA) , to rediscover San Francisco's rich history of bygone amusement parks, their sites, ruins, and contemporary incarnations.
Watch documentaries and animated features from local and international filmmakers. This year’s Architecture + The City Festival film series will also include the animated short Me and My Moultonby Architect and Oscar winner Torill Kove (check out our interview with Torill Kove on the Novedge Blog).
