Connecting MEP systems correctly in Revit is essential for producing coordinated models, reliable schedules, and usable engineering documentation. A visually connected duct, pipe, conduit, or cable tray is not necessarily part of a functional system; Revit must recognize the connector relationship and system classification.
Begin by confirming that the equipment, terminals, and fittings you are using contain compatible connectors. Each connector carries critical information, including:
When placing equipment families, verify connector settings before routing services. A supply diffuser, for example, must have an HVAC connector classified appropriately for the air system it serves.
