Bluebeam Tip: Streamline Team Collaboration by Sharing Custom Tool Sets in Bluebeam Revu

Enhance your team's efficiency in Bluebeam Revu by sharing custom Tool Sets with your colleagues. This ensures consistency across markups and streamlines collaborative workflows.

Here's how to share Tool Sets with your team:

  1. Export Your Tool Set:
    • Open the Tool Chest panel.
    • Right-click on the custom Tool Set you wish to share.
    • Select Export from the context menu.
    • Choose a destination folder and save the .btx file.
  2. Distribute the Tool Set:
    • Share the exported .btx file with your team members via email, shared network drive, or cloud storage.
  3. Import the Tool Set:
    • Team members open the Tool Chest panel in Bluebeam Revu.
    • Click the Gear icon and select Import.
    • Navigate to the received .btx file and click Open.
    • The Tool Set will now appear in their Tool Chest.

For ongoing updates and centralized management, consider placing the Tool Set on a shared network location:

  • Go to Revu Preferences (Ctrl+K).
  • Select Tools > Tool Chest.
  • Under My Tools and Tool Sets, set the network folder as the default save location.

This setup ensures that any changes to the Tool Sets are automatically accessible to all team members, promoting consistency in your project's markups.
