Highlights

	Organize Build a flexible folder-like layout and add the drawings according to project structure. The rebar measurements are organized in a tree-like view with structural elements, sub-structural elements and the steel bars at the lowest level. Easily check for any errors or omissions either on the drawing or on the tree-view to identify any bars that have not been measured.
Measure Steel bars can be measured in different ways. Draw/select their segments on the drawing or select the respective figure from the library and specify each side's length. Each steel bar belongs to a structural element and is automatically given a code. The user specifies the rebar size, link it to a BOQ item and indicate whether it is a main, additional or auxiliary reinforcement. Optionally set the rebar rotation for a better fit in the resulting tables. Provide the length of a dimension that a rebar is repeated e.g. across the dimension of a slab, and the total number of rebars is automatically calculated.
	Tables Generate detailed reinforcement tables by selecting the rebars to be included. Export the tables in xls format.
Library More than 150 ready-made reinforcement shapes with default values built by experienced civil engineers are provided. Users can add new or modify existing shapes to cover any specific cases. Metric and Imperial bar sizes tables are available.

Features

• The steel bars can be measured in three different ways: by drawing them on the plans (whether they are visible or not), by directly selecting their linear segments on the drawing, or by selecting them from the library of several ready-made shapes and defining the segment lengths.
• ExtrAXION Rebars even allows the users, on the basis of their experience, to measure and calculate the cost of rebars, which are often not indicated by the engineers on the drawings.
• Each steel bar belongs to a structural element and is automatically given a code. The users define the rebar size, link it to a work item and indicate whether it is a main, additional or auxiliary reinforcement. They can optionally give it a description.
• Rebars are rotated to better fit in the reinforcement tables’ cells automatically by the program. The user can manually adjust the rotation. Rebars can also be represented by a user defined marking figure as necessary (ex. when the rebars are perpendicular to the drawing level they can be hidden and replaced by a symbol. To measure the height of such perpendicular rebars in columns the user can rely on the "auxiliary drawings" option of ExtrAXION.
• For rebars that appear once on a drawing but are to be repeated (ex. across the width of a slab) the user needs to measure only once, type the distance between the bars and the total width – which can also be input through a measurement on the drawing. The number of required steel bars, the total length and total weight are automatically calculated.
• ExtrAXION Rebars can automatically generate detailed reinforcement tables for the complete explanation of the quantities. The users can select from the "tree" the structural elements they wish to view and create the corresponding rebar table.
  
  

Reinforcements Library

A library available for immediate use is included. The data in the library is editable, and new information can be added by the users so that it fits perfectly their needs.

The library includes:

• More than 150 ready-made reinforcement shapes with default values for the length of the various segments defined by experienced civil engineers. The users can also define and design new custom shapes and input the formula which calculates their length.
• Structural elements (beams, columns, slabs, footings, walls, etc.)
• Standard diameters of reinforcements with weight per unit of length, for both the metric and the imperial systems.
