Presented by Graebert, this tutorial shows how to create parametric BIM blocks for reusable, intelligent components in BricsCAD BIM. It demonstrates modelling a custom door with frame, panel and 2D swing geometry, using layers such as BC_SUBTRACT and creating 2D elements in the correct UCS. Solids and 2D elements are parametrized and parameters linked, with the assembled block classified for BIM workflows. Animation of parameters and insertion into walls with correct subtractor behavior are covered, completing a practical end-to-end workflow for building smart, adaptable BIM content suitable for design, documentation tasks, coordination across project teams, and construction detailing and fabrication.
