To begin, open the Search panel and enter a word, phrase, or drawing reference. Revu displays each match in a results list, allowing you to jump directly to the relevant page and location.

• Expand the search scope when needed: Search across all open PDFs or select a folder to locate information throughout an entire project archive.
• Use precise search options: Enable options such as Match Case or Whole Words Only to reduce irrelevant results. For example, searching “MEP” as a whole word avoids finding it within longer terms.
• Review results before acting: The results panel provides page references and surrounding text, helping you confirm that each occurrence is relevant before creating a markup or sending a question to the team.

For scanned documents, run OCR first so the text becomes searchable. This is especially useful for legacy plans, scanned field reports, and vendor documentation. Once OCR is complete, Revu can search the recognized text just as it would in a digitally generated PDF.
