Bluebeam Tip: Streamline Bluebeam Revu Workflow with Custom Stamps for Consistency and Efficiency

Enhance your workflow in Bluebeam Revu by creating and utilizing custom stamps. Custom stamps allow you to add standardized comments, approvals, or any repetitive text and graphics to your PDFs, saving you time and ensuring consistency across documents.

Creating a Custom Stamp

  1. Open Bluebeam Revu and go to the File menu.
  2. Select New PDF to create a blank document.
  3. Design your stamp using markup tools:
    • Add text boxes for your message.
    • Insert images or logos as necessary.
    • Use shapes and lines to create borders or backgrounds.
  4. Once your design is complete, go to File > Save As.
  5. Navigate to the stamps folder:
    • For Windows: C:\ProgramData\Bluebeam Software\Bluebeam Revu\20\Stamps
    • Adjust the version number if you are using a different version of Revu.
  6. Save your stamp with a descriptive name.

Using Your Custom Stamp

  1. Open the PDF document where you want to apply the stamp.
  2. Select the Stamp tool from the toolbar or go to Tools > Stamp > Stamp.
  3. In the stamps menu, find your custom stamp under the appropriate category.
  4. Click on the stamp and then click on the PDF where you want it to appear.

Tips for effective use:

  • Use dynamic text fields in your stamp (e.g., date, author) for automatic updates.
  • Organize your stamps into folders for easy access.
  • Share your custom stamps with team members to ensure consistency.

By integrating custom stamps into your workflow, you can significantly improve efficiency and maintain a high level of professionalism in your documents.
