Line endpoints are a small Bluebeam Revu setting that can make drawings, review comments, and field markups much easier to interpret. Instead of relying on text alone, use arrows, dots, squares, or other endpoint styles to clearly show direction, responsibility, or the exact location being referenced.
To change an endpoint, select a line-based markup such as a Line, Polyline, Dimension, or Callout, then open the Properties panel. Locate the Start and End options under Line Style and choose the endpoint symbols that best communicate your intent.
For example, a callout with an arrow endpoint can point precisely to a door hardware issue, while a line with circular endpoints can identify the limits of a dimension or installation area. This reduces ambiguity, particularly when several reviewers are marking up the same sheet.
For recurring workflows, set your preferred line color, width, style, and endpoints first, then right-click the markup and add it to a custom Tool Chest. Revu will retain those settings, helping your team maintain a consistent visual language across projects.
Standardized endpoints are especially valuable on dense construction documents, where clear direction prevents missed comments and unnecessary clarification requests. Pair this technique with disciplined Tool Chest management to create faster, more readable PDF reviews.
