AutoCAD Tip: Viewport-Specific Layer Freezing with LAYFRZ

Fast workflow (per-viewport freeze)

1. On a layout, double‑click inside the target viewport to make it active.
2. Type LAYFRZ and press Enter.

   • Choose Viewports = Current (freeze only the active viewport).
   • Choose Block selection = Entity to freeze the actual nested layer you click inside blocks/xrefs, not the block’s container layer.
4. Click any object; its layer is instantly frozen in the current viewport only (VP Freeze).
5. Repeat picks as needed; use Undo within the command to step back.

• Nothing freezes? Ensure you are inside the viewport and that LAYFRZ Viewports setting is Current, not All.
