Use Layer States to lock in viewport-specific visibility so every sheet prints exactly as intended, without micromanaging layers per layout.

Workflow (fast and reliable):

1. Create or activate a paper space viewport and make it active (double‑click inside).
2. Open Layer Properties Manager. Use the VP Freeze (snowflake) column to freeze layers only in this viewport. Avoid using Off for viewport control—freeze is safer and faster to regen.
3. Run LAYERSTATE (Layer States Manager) and click New to save a state for this viewport. Check “Include layer properties overrides for layout viewports.” Name it clearly (e.g., “A-DETAIL_1-10@1-10”).
4. To reuse on another viewport, activate that viewport and Restore the saved layer state. This applies the same Freeze/Thaw (and any VP Color/Linetype/Lineweight overrides) without altering model space.
