Designing 3D Patterns with Rhino and Grasshopper

What it's About

One of the strengths of Grasshopper, the visual programming tool for  Rhino 6, is the natural ability to process complex geometry data. For this reason one of its most interesting applications is the creation of elaborate 3D patterns and textures, which are being used more and more in architecture as well as in product and industrial design. The webinar will give an overview of different design strategies and workflows used to efficiently develop a library of reusable patterns.

Who is Presenting the Webinar

Marco Traverso is an engineer, developer and 3D designer/consultant with over 18 years of experience with Rhinoceros. In the past 7 years he has developed workflows and tools for integrating the parametric capabilities of Grasshopper into creative concept design pipelines – his published work is visible at Marco Traverso.it. He is founder of Car Body Design a leading website on transportation design since 2004.

Who Should Attend

Designers, architects and other creative professionals who are interested in creating 3D patterns and textures or want to know more about 3D modeling workflows in Grasshopper. Basic knowledge of Rhino/Grasshopper, while not strictly required, is recommended.
