Upgrade to Rhino 7 From Any Previous Versions will upgrade from any Rhino 1.x, Rhino 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 or Rhino 6.0 to Rhino 7.0, the most significant upgrade in the history of Rhino 3D.
If you don't own an old Rhino 1.x, Rhino 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 or Rhino 6.0 you can purchase a fresh new copy of Rhino 7.0.
Rhino 7 for Windows and Mac is the best industrial design modeling software, architectural design and CAD. Complicated shapes can be directly modeled with Rhino 7 or acquired through 3D digitizers. Thanks to the most powerful NURBS based engine you can create, edit, analyze, and translate curves, surfaces, and solids. There are no limits on complexity, degree, or size.
McNeel's Rhinoceros 3D also supports polygon meshes and point clouds for complete coverage of geometric data types. With its unparalleled NURBS modeling power this Software lets you focus on designing, not on cumbersome modeling workarounds.
Rhino 7 is the most significant upgrade in its product history. You can create organic shapes with our new SubD tools. Run Rhino and Grasshopper as a Revit® Add-On with Rhino.Inside.Revit. Use the robust QuadRemesh algorithm to create a beautiful quad mesh from NURBS geometry or meshes. With this release, completely new modeling workflows have been unlocked and many steadfast features have been refined .
These are the highlights:

The purchase of the Rhino update was easy. I was having trouble loading the update. Support took a message and said they would have to call me back because of Covid. I waited over 24 hours with no reply. Tried to call back and could not get through. Eventually, I had time to work through the problem on my own. It would have been nice to at least get the call back. I deal with Covid like everyone else. The excuse is old. We have all adjusted and so should you.
Cost savings buying from Novedge and with (reduced) intro price is nice. Rhino 7 is a worthy of cost upgrade for new mesh features and many other new or improved features. Hey! It’s Rhino!! One minor issue recognizing my Rhino 6 license in cloud zoo. It didn’t for me. McNeel says they will fix Zoo. If you use Rhino, do it!
Just discovering the new features but I really like it so far, particular the new Arctic and Rendered views, although I have encountered one or two annoying bugs, like it crashes when trying to use softening on edges. One other disappointing aspect is that Rhino 7 can’t use the GPU on the Mac and I think also can’t use e-gpu’s, just the CPU so it's kinda slow on rendered views and rendering and Rhino 7 won’t run on the new M1 chips yet either, so no way to buy faster hardware to speed it up. But I’m still happy I upgraded for other reasons.
