All types allow you to access all the viewer's great functionalities in measurement, dimension, viewing, and etc. The differences between the different types of licenses are in the types of files that you can import and export and in certain advanced features.
Basic or Advanced Viewer/Translator licenses are required to write cross-sections to VRML or IGES files.
Advanced Viewer or Advanced Viewer/Translator licenses are required to create Local Coordinate Systems and to access "Hole and Fill" and "Fill/Remove General" functions.

I bought a Advanced Viewer+Translator 21 license from DM Vision Co.,Ltd eleven months ago.
I had a clean install of windows two weeks ago because the windows were not working.
Then the CADlook ID changed and it did not work.
When I contacted DM Vision Co.,Ltd about it,
they replied that it could not support to change ID.
Before, I got support about AlibreDesign to change ID by clean install of windows.
The AlibreDesign is a very good 3D CAD, but the CADlook is very bad.
The download from NovEdge was an old version and the eval key immediately said it was expired; I got the latest version with a working key from the publisher. My company needed a way to translate AutoCAD drawings with ACIS solids, that had been exported to ACIS, to Step, and also the reverse process. This tool does a good job. The others that I tried had shortcomings like converting all the smooth solids to triangles which doesn't look good at all. My only remaining problem was that the AutoCAD colors were not converted to ACIS colors. I think this is a limitation of ACIS not being able to share custom attributes between different applications.
Does a pretty good job of
translating CAD files from
one format to another.
A very good value.
We use it as an step healer. If we get files from a customer or a supplier the files have small errors. We simply open the files and save them again without manipulating them. That was it.
I used your CADlook as a traial.
I would like to find out a viewer of "x_t" files.
It looks good for my purpose to use, but 15 days are so short to evaluate.
Anyhow I would like to say thank you again.
with best regards,
S. Hamada
