LAYER 1: EFFECTS
Place this layer on your footage first. Choose between an aperture effect, flash effect, choppy frame-rate effect, and a picture taking effect…or combine all four! We especially love the picture taking effect that makes it look like you took a picture and it freezes and zooms in for dramatic effect.
LAYER 2: FOCUSING CIRCLES
There are 20 various focusing circles that correlate with the named camera layer. Place this layer on your footage next and animate the focus slider in the parameters window; it acts just like a real focusing screen did on these old cameras!
LAYER 3: CAMERAS
For your third layer, choose from 20 different camera styles that range from a simple retro viewfinder to a Hasselblad, to an SLR camera. This is what gives Viewfinder its unique look and feel. Some of the parameters allow for the ability to change the details of the viewfinder to include animating the aperture or film speed meter. These coincide with the names of the focusing screens but can be matched to your liking.
MOBILE SKINS
Here you have the choice of 4 different mobile phones in both their horizontal and vertical orientation. GS6, GS7, iPhone, and Pixel.
VIDEO DISPLAYS
These are some awesome displays of 4 different kinds of video screens: Director’s Viewfinder, DSLR, VCR, and Widescreen displays.Change the parameters to meet your desire and needs!
EASY TO USE
These effects are located in the “TITLES” area of FCPX. Simply drag and drop the title layers over your footage, extend it to a desired duration, and customize the parameters to your liking.
