Overview
Using free-surface methods, it will allow users to specify a hull shape along with a few key parameters of the simulation they'd like to conduct such as the flow velocity and waterline, while fully automating aspects such as the domain generation, mesh setup and relaxation parameters. This is done with a brand-new simplified menu interface, wholly dedicated to this type of simulation. It will then return values for drag, separated into skin friction and form drag while also displaying and quantifying the size of the bow and stern waves produced. An added innovation will also allow users to test their designs with sinusoidal waves as an input and extract parameters such as the pressure on the hull as a function of time. |
