Reverse Engineering Scanned Meshes in SOLIDWORKS

What it's About

Cyborg3D MeshToCAD makes it easy to reverse engineer even complex scanned meshes, high poly meshes (i.e. ZBrush), and topology optimization meshes inside of SOLIDWORKS. It provides unparalleled accuracy in capturing even the smallest details without exploding the file size. And because it works inside of SOLIDWORKS, the resulting geometry is fully SOLIDWORKS compliant so that you can apply all of the SOLIDWORKS functionality (i.e. fillet, shell, Boolean, CAM, analysis, 3D print, etc.) to your resulting model (or edit it by clicking on the geometry in the feature tree).

Who is Presenting the Webinar

Gary Crocker has a BS in Mathematics the University of Maine at Orono and a MS in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His first job was with General Electric Research and Development Center in Schenectady, New York working on advanced graphic and geometric modeling algorithms. After that he went to work for Calma in San Diego, CA as a member of their Geometric Modeling Group. That group was later purchased by Prime computer and Computervision. In 1996 he founded IntegrityWare, Inc. and developed their geometric modeling kernel Solids++ and licensed it as an OEM product. In 2002, he hired David Gill and they started the nPowerSoftware ( division of IntegrityWare to focus on end user products. During that time nPowerSoftware developed plug-in products for 3DS Max, Maya, Rhino, Modo and SOLIDWORKS. In 2017 they also released several standalone products based on their Cyborg3D ( platform.

Who Should Attend

SolidWorks customers who need to import meshes (i.e. scanned meshes, ZBrush meshes, etc.) from other systems, or want to do topology optimization, or want to reengineer SolidWorks surfaces.
