What it's About

When projects move from concept drawings to construction documents, details have to be drawn to show how components relate to each other. It is tempting to use the 3D model to create all the details. This works for sections, not for details. Details need to show the components separated or exploded so that they are readable. Line weights and notes are critical. In this session, we will learn the best ways to create details and incorporate them into a drawing set with Vectorworks Architect . We will learn the 4 D's of detailing, and we will look at the 5 physics principles of detailing.

Who is Presenting the Webinar

Jonathan Pickup is an architect trained in New Zealand and in the UK, with more than 30 years of experience. He has been writing and producing Vectorworks manuals and providing customer support for more than 15 years. His company, ArchonCAD, is the premier provider of third-party manuals and training resources for Vectorworks. He also runs the Vectorworks On-Line User Group and provides its main direction.
