We’ll cover the steps in creating a 3D site model from a surveyor’s file using Vectorworks, including geo-referenced data, alignment with air photos and .dwg info, as well as cleaning up edges and problem data points after creation. After the existing site model is created, we will look at site analysis and the use of modifiers to create the proposed site.
Geoff McBeath is President of Resolve Software Solutions Inc., of Vancouver, Canada. Resolve distributes Vectorworks and CINEMA 4D across Canada, and also consults to design businesses using Vectorworks. Geoff is a long-time user and trainer of Vectorworks, first using the software while working in architectural firms, then later making that knowledge the core of his own business. Geoff also developed and delivered the first seminar series and training CDs that Nemetschek Vectorworks offered across the USA and Canada.
