ZBrush is the industry-standard for digital sculpting. It’s used by top artists working in games, film and entertainment. With ZBrush 2022, you can create high-resolution models with incredible detail that would have been impossible before.
Check out some of our favorite new features:
New Bas Relief system. The Bas Relief system works by projecting an existing 3D model onto the surface that is to be embossed. it works with both individual SubTools, and models consisting of multiple SubTools.
GPU-accelerated BevelPro plugin. The new BevelPro plugin, which provides an alternative way to create beveled edges on models to ZModeler’s edge bevel action. BevelPro doesn’t require a low-poly mesh or a specific topology to generate good results: in its live demos. Users can preview the results inside the plugin before applying them to a mesh.
Stroke Interpolation. The Stroke Interpolation feature can now use ZIntensity, Brush Size, RGB Intensity, and Front and Back Colors to transition between strokes with a set number of steps. It is also now possible to use interpolation within ZBrush’s new Stager system, making it possible to create arrays of entire SubTools as well as brush strokes.
SCULPTING
Two By Two.
Brushes now support dual alphas and textures, allowing you to transition between the two based on the pen pressure of your stroke. Create striking blends of color and detail with this versatile new feature. When two alphas and/or two textures are applied to a brush pen pressure will transition between them. Lighter pressure will use the Base Alpha/Texture and heavier pressure will use the Current Alpha/Texture.
Local Projection Mode. With a new Local Projection Mode applying noise is applied evenly to all sides of a mesh when not working face-on.
New Knife brushes . Adjust the detail of your renders using the new Blur and Sharpen layers, built right in the V-Ray Frame Buffer, for even more artistic control. And save time with batch image processing.
