Reliable BIM deliverables start with auditable data. Use parameter reporting to keep your Revit model clean, consistent, and construction-ready—with fewer surprises at issue time.

Quick-start workflow

  • Baseline the schema: consolidate a master Shared Parameters file, define data types/units, and establish naming/coding rules (no free-text where lists will do).
  • Build audit schedules: create category and multi-category QA schedules with fields like Element ID, Family/Type, Level, Workset, Phase, and all key identity parameters.
  • Add validation helpers: use calculated fields (e.g., LEN(), IF()) to flag blanks, overlength strings, or mismatches; add conditional formatting to highlight issues.
