Custom statuses in Bluebeam Revu empower you to track and manage the progress of markups effectively. Tailoring statuses to fit your project's workflow enhances communication and keeps your team aligned.

Here's how to set up custom statuses for markups:

  1. Open the Markups List by clicking on the panel on the left or pressing Alt+L.
  2. At the bottom of the Markups List, click the Columns button and ensure Status is checked to make it visible.
  3. Click on the Status column header and select Manage Status from the dropdown menu.
  4. In the Manage Status dialogue box, click Modify to edit existing statuses or Add to create a new one.
  5. Enter a name for your custom status and choose a color to represent it.
  6. Organize your statuses into groups if needed by adding a new State Model.
  7. Click OK to save your custom statuses.

Now, you can assign these custom statuses to markups:

  1. Right-click on a markup in your document.
  2. Hover over Status and select your desired custom status.

Benefits of using custom statuses:

  • Enhanced Tracking: Monitor the lifecycle of markups through stages like Pending, Reviewed, Approved, etc.
  • Improved Collaboration: Keep all team members informed about the current status of annotations.
  • Customized Workflows: Adapt status options to fit the specific needs of your projects.
