Move between drawings without pausing to recalibrate. “Set Scale from Page” lets you adopt the printed sheet scale instantly for accurate, consistent measurements.

• Open the Measurements panel (left panel) and locate the Scale section.
• Click Set Scale and choose the option to use the scale from the page’s title block (for example, 1/8” = 1’-0” or 1:100). Enter the ratio and confirm units.
• Save it as a Preset so you can reapply the same scale on future sheets with one click.
• Use Apply to Pages to propagate the scale to:
  • Current page
  • All pages
  • A page range
  • Pages with the same size
• For sheets with mixed scales (plans plus details), add Viewports so each region keeps its own scale and measurements auto-switch as you move around the page.

Quality checks before you measure:

• Verify against a known dimension on the sheet (door width, grid spacing). If it’s off, adjust the page scale or use Calibrate for that drawing.
• Confirm unit type (Architectural vs. Engineering vs. Metric) matches the printed scale.
• Watch for scanned drawings that were stretched; use Calibrate if the printed scale isn’t reliable.

Speed and consistency tips:

• Store common ratios as Presets (e.g., 1/4”=1’-0”, 1:50, 1”=20’), then switch scales from the dropdown in seconds.
• Ensure measurement tools are set to use the Page Scale in their properties so every takeoff honors the current sheet’s scale.
• Bundle your presets and tool settings into a custom Profile for estimating, then share it with the team.

Result: faster takeoffs, fewer reworks, and clean, defensible quantities across mixed plan sets.
