Enhance your Bluebeam Revu experience by creating custom line styles tailored to your project's needs. Custom line styles allow for better communication and clarity in your markups, ensuring that all team members understand the annotations.

Creating Custom Line Styles in Bluebeam Revu

  1. Open Bluebeam Revu and select the Line tool from the Markup toolbar.
  2. Draw a line on your PDF to activate the Properties panel.
  3. In the Properties panel, locate the Line Style dropdown menu.
  4. Click on the Edit button next to the Line Style dropdown.
  5. In the Edit Line Style List dialog box, click on Add to create a new line style.
  6. Enter a name for your custom line style in the Style Name field.
  7. Use the Pattern Editor to design your line style:
    • Combine dots, dashes, and gaps to create unique patterns.
    • Add symbols or text to the line by clicking on Elments.
  8. Preview your custom line style in the Sample area.
  9. Once satisfied, click OK to save the new line style.

Managing Custom Line Styles

  • Organize Line Styles: Group your custom line styles into categories for easy access.
  • Export Line Styles:
    • Go to Manage > Line Styles in the Properties panel.
    • Select the styles to export and click on Export.
    • Save the .btx file to share with team members.
  • Import Line Styles:
    • Click on Import in the Edit Line Style List dialog.
    • Select the .btx file containing the line styles.
    • The imported styles will now appear in your Line Style list.
  • Standardize Across Projects: Consistently use custom line styles to maintain clarity and uniformity.
