When a full drawing is too large to share, a high-resolution snapshot can communicate the exact detail your team needs without sending the entire PDF. In Bluebeam Revu, available from NOVEDGE, the Snapshot tool captures a selected region of a PDF to the clipboard for fast reuse in emails, RFIs, presentations, reports, and other documents.

For the sharpest possible result, use this workflow:

• Zoom in before capturing. Navigate to the relevant plan area and increase the zoom level until text, dimensions, and linework display clearly. Because the snapshot is based on the visible rendered content, zooming in generally produces a clearer image when it is pasted elsewhere.
• Select the Snapshot tool. Go to Edit > Snapshot, or use the Snapshot icon if it is on your toolbar.
• Drag carefully around the required detail. Include enough surrounding context—such as grid lines, room names, detail callouts, or scale references—so the recipient can understand the location and purpose of the image.
• Paste immediately. Use Ctrl+V to place the capture into an email, Microsoft Word document, presentation, image editor, or another PDF workflow. Avoid enlarging the pasted image substantially, as doing so can reduce clarity.
• Label the image. Add the drawing number, revision, date, and a short note such as “Detail shown for coordination only.” This helps prevent an isolated snapshot from being mistaken for the current issued sheet.

For complex construction or design details, capture several focused snapshots rather than one oversized image. A sequence of clearly labeled close-ups is often easier to review on mobile devices and in email threads.

Before distributing, verify that the snapshot does not expose confidential project information, unrelated disciplines, or superseded notes. Keep the source PDF available so reviewers can return to the complete drawing when needed.
