Bluebeam Tip: Batch Sign & Seal in Bluebeam Revu for Fast, Compliant Approvals

Speed up final approvals without compromising compliance by using Batch Sign & Seal in Bluebeam Revu.

Prep your digital ID
- Go to Revu > Preferences > Signatures and import your digital ID (.pfx/.p12) or select one from the Windows Certificate Store.
- Create a signature appearance that shows name, company, date/time, and reason; add a high-resolution seal image (transparent PNG, ~300 dpi, 600–1000 px wide).
Ready your documents
- Finalize markups and flatten what must be permanent; leave items editable if further review is expected.
- Confirm page size/origin consistency across the set to avoid misaligned placements.
- Slip Sheet revisions before signing so versioning is locked after the seal.
Configure the batch
- Open Tools > Signatures > Batch Sign & Seal, add files (or a Set), and choose page ranges.
- Use auto-detect for existing signature fields, or define a placement rectangle once and apply to all pages—save this placement as a reusable template.
- Align to a corner using consistent offsets; preview a few pages before running the batch.
Security and validation
- Enable “Lock document after signing” for final deliverables; leave unlocked if additional signatures are required.
- Apply a trusted timestamp server if your workflow requires long-term validation and reliable time-stamping.
- After processing, verify in the Signatures panel—look for valid signatures with no post-signing changes.
Collaboration notes
- You can’t apply digital signatures inside Studio Sessions; download, sign locally, then reupload.
- Archive both the signed package and the pre-sign source for auditability.
Quality tips
- If the seal looks soft, switch to a vector PDF stamp or increase image resolution.
- Standardize naming, appearance, and placement in a shared Profile for team-wide consistency.
