Novedge Webinar 303
Reverse Engineering scanned meshes with Cyborg3D MeshToCAD
Recorded on Nov 7, 2018
reverse engineers even complex scanned meshes, high poly meshes (i.e. ZBrush), and topology optimization meshes into CAD compliant NURBS geometry (which can be imported as STEP files into any CAD system). It provides unparalleled accuracy in capturing even the smallest details without exploding the file size.
The webinar is free and lasts about one hour, including the Q&A session.
Who is Presenting the Webinar
has a BS in Mathematics the University of Maine at Orono and a MS in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His first job was with General Electric Research and Development Center in Schenectady, New York working on advanced graphic and geometric modeling algorithms. After that he went to work for Calma in San Diego, CA as a member of their Geometric Modeling Group. That group was later purchased by Prime computer and Computervision. In 1996 he founded IntegrityWare, Inc. and developed their geometric modeling kernel Solids++ and licensed it as an OEM product. In 2002, he hired David Gill and they started the nPowerSoftware (npowersoftware.com) division of IntegrityWare to focus on end user products. During that time nPowerSoftware developed plug-in products for 3DS Max, Maya, Rhino, Modo and SOLIDWORKS. In 2017 they also released several standalone products based on their Cyborg3D (cyborg3d.com) platform.
Anyone who needs to convert scanned meshes, ZBrush meshes, topology optimization meshes, or other meshes into CAD geometry (for any CAD system).
