BIM for Architects
I have been a practicing architect since 2004. I used Autodesk products since 1998. When looking for a new platform for my office I researched all of the big players: Revit, Archicad and Vectorworks. I worked through trials of all 3 and Vectorworks by far and away is the best software for Architects. It is a powerful BIM software but also provides enough flexibility for 2D documentation and detailing. One of the most critical features for me is the ability to manipulate line weights independent of the model for different scale details without a lot of fuss. I simply can't say enough about this software. It is built for the way architects work and produces beautiful drawings and models.
